PLANTS!

 We made hairy heads.  The children drew faces on a cup and planted grass seeds.  After the seeds sprout and grow, we will give our little guys a haircut.  Too Cute!

 Here's what we did!

 

1.  We scooped dirt.

 2. We dropped seeds.

 3. We covered the seeds.

 4. We watered our seeds.

We labeled the parts of a plant and learned about their jobs.

  

We soaked lima beans in water so we could open them and see what's inside - a baby plant!  We labeled the parts of a seed and talked about the job of each part.

We read two versions of Jack and the Beanstalk.

In this version, Jim meets the son of the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk.

After reading these books, the children wrote their own adventures with a beanstalk.
